Insurance Sales Representative – Life Insurance Specialist
BJ Nagle State Farm Agent | Memphis, TN
$55,000+ Expected Compensation Opportunity | $100,000+ Earning Potential
You've seen the life insurance career videos. Here's an opportunity to actually build one.
BJ Nagle State Farm Agent is looking for a competitive, coachable, and motivated Insurance Sales Representative who wants to build a career in insurance sales with a specialty in Life Insurance.
This is a full insurance sales position. You'll sell Auto, Home, Renters, Business, Life, and other available insurance products—but Life Insurance will be a primary focus of your role.
For someone consistently meeting the expected activity and production levels, our compensation plan provides the opportunity to earn $55,000+ annually.
For the producer who fully buys in, develops their skills, and maximizes their opportunities, $100,000+ annual earning potential is possible based on production.
The opportunity is real. So is the work required to earn it.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY IS DIFFERENT
One of the hardest parts of selling Life Insurance is getting the opportunity to have the conversation.
We have another way in.
Unlike organizations focused exclusively on Life Insurance, our agency already helps customers with their:
• Auto Insurance
• Homeowners Insurance
• Renters Insurance
• Business Insurance
• Other Property & Casualty needs
• Homeowners Insurance
• Renters Insurance
• Business Insurance
• Other Property & Casualty needs
That means we're already having insurance conversations with customers and prospects every day.
Someone buys a home.
Someone purchases a vehicle.
Someone starts a business.
Someone gets married or has a child.
A family adds a teenage driver.
A customer calls to review their insurance.
Those aren't just Property & Casualty opportunities. They're life events—and life events create opportunities for Life Insurance conversations.
Instead of building every relationship from scratch, you'll often have the opportunity to talk with people who already know our agency or are actively working with us on another insurance need.
We may already be helping someone protect their cars, home, and business.
Your opportunity is to take that relationship one step further:
"We're helping you protect the things you've worked hard for. What do you currently have in place to protect the people who depend on you?"
That's where you come in.
YOUR ROLE: SELL INSURANCE. SPECIALIZE IN LIFE.
This is not a Life-only sales position.
You'll contribute to the overall growth of our agency by selling:
• Life Insurance
• Auto Insurance
• Homeowners Insurance
• Renters & Condo Insurance
• Business Insurance
• Other available insurance products
• Auto Insurance
• Homeowners Insurance
• Renters & Condo Insurance
• Business Insurance
• Other available insurance products
But Life Insurance will be a primary focus.
We want you to become the person on our team who is constantly identifying Life opportunities, starting conversations, scheduling appointments, following up, and helping customers address an area that can easily be overlooked.
An Auto lead can become a Life opportunity.
A Home customer can become a Life opportunity.
A Business Insurance conversation can become a Life opportunity.
The better you become at recognizing and creating those opportunities, the more valuable you become to our agency—and the more opportunity you have to increase your income.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Sell Auto, Home, Renters, Business, Life, and other available insurance products
• Identify Life Insurance opportunities within our existing customer base
• Conduct Life Insurance needs conversations with customers and prospects
• Schedule and conduct Life Insurance appointments
• Turn new Property & Casualty customers into opportunities for broader insurance conversations
• Prospect for new customers and additional Life Insurance opportunities
• Make outbound calls and consistently follow up with prospects
• Quote insurance and present appropriate coverage options
• Ask for referrals and create additional sales opportunities
• Manage and develop your sales pipeline
• Work toward weekly and monthly activity and production goals
• Continually develop your sales, insurance, and communication skills
$55K+ IS THE EXPECTATION. $100K+ IS THE OPPORTUNITY.
This position combines a base salary with performance-based compensation.
Team members who consistently complete the expected sales activities and produce at the levels we expect from a successful producer have the opportunity to earn:
$55,000+ ANNUALLY
But we don't want to put an artificial ceiling on someone who becomes exceptional at this role.
A producer who fully buys into the process, develops their sales skills, consistently follows up, creates additional opportunities, and maximizes the compensation plan can have:
$100,000+ ANNUAL EARNING POTENTIAL
$100,000 isn't guaranteed. It's earned through production.
We're not advertising a get-rich-quick Life Insurance job.
We're looking for someone who understands that a six-figure income should be the result of becoming a six-figure producer.
WE GIVE YOU AN "IN." YOU STILL HAVE TO SELL.
Having an existing customer base does not mean you'll sit around waiting for easy sales.
You'll still have to:
• Pick up the phone
• Prospect
• Start conversations
• Ask good questions
• Follow up
• Handle objections
• Ask for appointments
• Ask for referrals
• Ask for the business
• Prospect
• Start conversations
• Ask good questions
• Follow up
• Handle objections
• Ask for appointments
• Ask for referrals
• Ask for the business
The difference is that you won't necessarily have to create every relationship from zero.
Our agency already has insurance conversations happening every day.
We're looking for someone who recognizes those conversations as opportunities—and wants to capitalize on them.
